Queerly Beloved: How Six Wedding Vendors Threw the Most Magical LGBTQ+ Wedding Day Boston Has Ever Seen
On January 5, 2025, six Boston-area wedding professionals came together to create something the city had never seen before. Queerly Beloved — co-founded by Amanda Macchia Photography, One Bell Designs, DJ Dayglow, Dearly Studio, Althea Floral Design, and Lensy Michelle - along with several other vendor partners - brought seven LGBTQ+ couples to the altar for free micro-wedding ceremonies at The Sinclair in Cambridge, followed by a dance party open to all. Over 400 guests showed up. $4,000 was raised for the Trevor Project.
Saying "I Do" Over Lunch: An Oleana wedding
Last month we posted details from a beautiful wedding at Oleana. We’ve had the pleasure of working there several times (yum!), and I can’t wait to talk all about why restaurant weddings are the epitome of everything that’s right about elopements and intimate nuptials - especially when they're as stylish and intimate as Rachael and Kyle's luncheon wedding at Oleana. Picture this: a sunny day, a charming patio, and the love of your life by your side—sounds pretty epic, right? Here's why restaurant weddings rock..
Chasing Sunsets at Crane's Beach with Laer + Vanessa
Crane's Beach is one of my favorite coastal photo spots in the area. Not only did I grow up going to this beautiful place, but so many of my couples love how close it is to Boston and the option to explore the beach as well as the dunes. Off-season, the crowds have dispersed, and the beach is ours for the taking! Our couple were total powerhouses…
Posing Tips for Enby and Queer Couples: Let's Get Adventurous!
So, picture this: it's a crisp fall day in Boston, and we're gearing up for an epic engagement session with a badass couple Our location? A hidden oasis right smack dab in the heart of the city—a pond surrounded by lush greenery, with just a hint of autumn in the air. The leaves hadn't quite gotten the memo yet, so we didn't have that picturesque fall foliage to work with. But hey, we're all about making lemonade out of lemons, right? And let me tell you, we nailed it…

Editorial: Moody, Glamorous Newport Wedding at Queen Anne's Loft
I’m so excited to share the photos from this modern, moody, dramatic, ultra glam wedding editorial we did at Queen Anne’s Loft in Newport, RI this past winter. It was a gorgeous day and the sun was streaming through their floor to ceiling windows creating the most breathtaking light. We got to photograph three unbelievable gowns from The Bridal Garden. Those two black owns stopped us in our tracks! Big thanks to Dana Marie Weddings for coordinating such a safe, inspiring, well put together day…
Editorial: All You Need Is Love - A Rockstar Elopement at the House of Blues Boston
Amidst the pandemic, couples have had to get creative to make their weddings extra special as they downsize and reimagine their day. Inspired by the burst of creativity we’re seeing in couples, and a love story to everything we miss doing before COVID - this shoot tells the story of a pair of long-time touring musicians who decide to tie the knot in an impromptu celebration with their closest friends and family at the place they feel most home. Having traveled the world playing music, they couldn’t imagine a more perfect way to tie the knot than outside their fav local venue - the House of Blues - under a dope custom marquee that reads “All You Need Is Love”…
Editorial: Caught In a Snow Globe - A Modern Winter Elopement at The Liberty Hotel
The Liberty Hotel is a historic landmark in Boston. This former jail turned upscale hotel is located right next to the red line, the Charles River, and Beacon Hill, and of course not far from city hall, making it the perfect spot for your Boston Elopement. A snowy winter day, combined with the pandemic, made for a quiet lobby and one epic photo session
Family: Fun Fall Session at Minuteman National Park
Minuteman National Park is one of my favorite places to hold fall minis. The foliage is unbeatable and there are so many cute little spots for photos. This beautiful family opted for a full session which is always a lot of fun because we can really take our time and explore everything this amazing venue has to offer, and it gives us time to go with the flow which is so, so important for sessions with kids.
Our approach to family sessions is play oriented, and we always try to consider the perspective of the kiddo - where are they at, what do they need? - and we move at their pace. Trust me when I tell you that not all sessions with littles are easy, most parents really want their kids to listen 100% of the time (time they paid for!) and that doesn’t always happen….
Styled Shoot: Traditional Meets Modern for this Edgy Couple
Featured on Bespoke Bride + Dancing With Her.
When planning and designing weddings, we often find couples feel pressure to match their aesthetic to something that someone is telling them to be. Whether it’s family saying it needs to be formal, Instagram telling them it should be light and airy, or a venue that says it needs to be on a farm and rustic. Our muses, a real couple named Rebecca and Maya, were bursting at the seams with personality. Their natural beauty, edgy style, glamorous demeanor, and queer love were all things that needed to be celebrated…
